Member Bio
Ruth Morgan is an environmental historian and historian of science with a particular focus on Australia, the British Empire, and the Indian Ocean world. After completing her doctoral studies at The University of Western Australia in Perth, she joined the History Department at Monash University in Melbourne in mid-2012. She is currently Director of the ANU Centre for Environmental History.
In 2024, Ruth became Secretary for International Consortium of Environmental History Organizations, for which she has previously served as a board member.
