Grace Karskens and Luke Keogh win the Australian History Prize

Society members Grace Karskens and Luke Keogh were both awarded the 2021 Australian History Prize. Grace won the prize for her book People of the River: Lost Worlds of Early Australia (Allen and Unwin, 2020), and Luke won the prize for his book The Wardian Case: How a Simple Box Moved Plants and Changed the World (University of Chicago Press, 2020).

The Australian History Prize is part of the 2021 NSW Premier’s History Awards and presented to authors of major works of non-fiction, published in book or ebook form, on Australian history.
